For the record, I liked George Bush when he was first elected. I thought a strong stance on defense was necessary at the time, but since then- I’ve done a complete 180. A lot of it had to do with being young and naive & not fully understanding policies and issues. Now I’m not even a fraction as gullible… and seeing how this is the first time in 5 years that ANYONE’s mentioned G.W. - I thought I’d throw my 2 cents in by tying it all together with a simile…
It’s like a marriage (that you’re in) - and a couple years into it, your spouse starts beating the shit out of you everyday until the day yall split up… like, sure, you can acknowledge the fact that yall were once in love & it sounded like a good idea at the time, but it wouldn’t be judicious of anyone to still rationally believe it was at all beneficial or worthwhile in the end… Hindsight is always 20/20
